Asteroids Touch

Asteroids with no buttons: touch or point and it turns, holds, thrusts and fires.

What it is

PLAY IT RIGHT NOW, free, before you buy anything: https://powerbutton.io/users/powerbutton/asteroids-touch/ Asteroids with no buttons. The ship turns to face wherever you touch or point, thrusts while you hold, and fires while you hold, so the whole game is played by aiming and holding: there is no thrust button, no fire button and no left or right button, because on a phone those are the three things that do not work. Your thumb is on the screen, so the screen IS the control. It runs in one page, with no install, no account and no network calls, and it works the same on a phone, a tablet and a desktop. The keyboard plays it too, and neither input cancels the other. THE PARTS THAT ARE ACTUALLY IMPLEMENTED, so you know what you are buying: a 900x620 board that measures itself; asteroids that split and drift; a shot that reaches across the board (this was measured, not assumed - the first version died 468px out, less than half way, and the constant was corrected so a shot now lives 1,170px, past the diagonal); a shield that blinks out at the start so you cannot be killed before you have moved; score, wave and lives; and a game over that starts a new ship on the next touch. WHO MADE IT, PLAINLY. This was written by DeepSeek V4 Flash, an agent working on PowerButton's own platform, then driven and corrected by hand through four phases of checks: it loads with no page errors, the keyboard plays it, touching the board turns the ship and fires - proved behaviourally, by the lit-pixel count rising while a finger was held down and falling when it was lifted - no button elements are left on the page, and the words on it describe the controls that exist. The ship in powerbutton.io's header is a clip of the ship in this game, which is a fair summary of how the two are related. WHAT IT IS NOT. It is not a polished commercial remake: there is no sound, no saving and no high-score table, the asteroids are shapes rather than art, and the balance is the arcade's rather than a designer's. You are buying a small, complete, working game in one page, written from nothing by an agent, with source you can read.

Read on 2026-10-12 — a model read it too: A small, self-contained browser Asteroids game with touch-and-hold controls and no apparent safety, legal, or deception concerns.. A screen is not a guarantee: it catches what is never an accident, and the maker's own claims are the maker's.

What you get, and what you may do with it

cheese-shop-licence-1: a licence to use what you bought — personally or in your business, no time limit, and you may change it for your own use. You may not resell it or give it away. The maker keeps the copyright. Sold as it is, without warranty.

The terms, in full

You keep your work

Your intellectual property stays yours. What you built here is your copyright, and listing it here does not change that. What you give us is a non-exclusive licence to host, screen, list and deliver your item and to take payment for it — nothing more. No assignment. No exclusivity: you may sell it elsewhere, and you may withdraw it.

What every buyer gets is the same licence — one set of terms for everything sold here, not a different licence per item. That way a buyer knows what they are paying for before they look at anything else, and you know exactly what you are agreeing to before you submit. By submitting an item you agree to these terms, and every sale is made under them.

  • The buyer may use it — personally or in their own business, with no time limit.
  • The buyer may change it for their own use, and run it on their own machines.
  • The buyer may not resell it, give it away or publish it, and may not offer it to other people as a service. What they bought is theirs to use, not to pass on.
  • You keep the copyright. Nothing here transfers it, and nothing here stops you selling the same item somewhere else, or using it yourself however you like.
  • No warranty. An item is sold as it is. We screen what is listed — we do not guarantee it works, and neither do you promise that it will.

The one thing you must be sure of is that the item is yours to sell. If it carries somebody else's work — a library, a font, an icon set, a tool — their licence governs that part and may not allow what these terms promise a buyer. We look for licence files while screening and will ask you about anything that looks like it came from elsewhere.

What you are paid

60% to you, the maker, and 40% to us, out of every sale — fixed at the moment of that sale, so a later change to the split never changes what you have already earned.

Our share is not a toll; it is what we do between your work and a buyer:

  • Screening. Every submission is checked before it can be listed at all — that it was made here, that it is what it says it is, and that it is not malicious or unlawful.
  • Placement. The listing itself: its page, its category, its one-line description, so people find it.
  • The sale. The payment link, the payment, and the entitlement that says a buyer owns the right to download what they paid for.
  • Delivery. The download link, re-checked against the hash of what was screened.

You are paid once a month, by PayPal or Cash App, to the address you give us — the same arrangement as the rest of our partners.

What can be listed

Software you made here, and only here. An item is only listable if it was created on this platform and has never left it — that is what makes screening meaningful rather than decorative, and it is enforced by a fingerprint taken when the item was made, not by anything you type. There is no upload path for an artifact, by design.

One exception, and it is marked on the page wherever it appears: an example — something made elsewhere, posted by us, not for sale, with a link to its own source and a line saying we did not screen it. Nothing a maker can submit is ever listed that way, and an example can never be bought, downloaded or installed from here. It exists to show what this kind of work produces; the first one on this page is why the shop exists at all.

Services are not listed — no "I will do this for you" posts. That may become its own area later; it is not this one.

Every submission is reviewed automatically for safety, malicious intent and legality before it appears, and a person reads anything the screening flags.
